FAST is the faculty/staff newsletter for Western Washington University. Its main purpose is to keep faculty and staff informed about University policies and happenings. The name is a combination of the first two letters of “faculty” and “staff.”
Envisioned as a sort of community newspaper for WWU faculty and staff members, FAST aims to build up the WWU community and strengthen ties among the colleges and departments on campus.
As part of that effort, FAST Online provides greater opportunity for employee participation and involvement. Among the ways faculty and staff members at WWU can participate are:
Commenting on an article. Links are provided with each article so you can add a comment to a story, provide additional information or offer a different perspective. Please view the FAST feedback policy.
Submitting information. All administrators and faculty and staff members are encouraged to submit news of interest to the campus community. Prior to publication, all submitted articles are reviewed and edited. To submit something to FAST, use the online submission form. Please read the submission guidelines. You might also want to submit something for inclusion in our Where in the World? interactive map, which helps to show the impact of WWU faculty and staff members on the global community. To submit an idea for the map, click here.
Writing a letter to the editor. FAST encourages an open exchange of ideas on campus and welcomes letters to the editor. Letters are published on FAST Online and are subject to the letters policy. To submit a letter, please use the online submission form.
