WWU associate professor of Biology Eric DeChaine is studying the effects of climate change on the biodiversity of the Alaskan tundra. For the past three summers, DeChaine has made transects of Alaska's North Slope, paddling down rivers from the mountains to the Arctic Sea, collecting data and specimens for his research.
