Hello Mr. Nord - I represent Athabasca University Press in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and your name was suggested to me by Chantal Allan, an award-winning journalist, who has reported for CBC Radio and National Public Radio. Her articles have appeared in the Toronto Star, Los Angeles Daily News, among others, and she lives in Los Angeles.

Chantal's book examines how the American media has portrayed Canada, from Confederation to Obama's election by examining major events that have tested bilateral relations. She has examined major events that reveal yet another layer of the complex relationship between Canada and the United States.

Would you possibly consider reading an advance reading copy and possibly provide a blurb for the cover please?

It appears that you are producing exactly what Alan wanted in founding
the Mercury Seven (Astronaut) Scholarship Foundation in the eighties.
Have Fun in Florida.
Keep knocking out new scientists and

Eric,

As always when I am lucky enough to hear you perform, I came away feeling that a door had been opened for me into a musical landscape that would be inaccessible without the expert guidance of an artist who can do justice to the most challenging and unfamiliar work and at the same time make it sing directly to every listener. My wife and I feel so very lucky to live in a community in which fine artists like you want to share your joy in music with the rest of us. Thank you for this.

I hope you will let me know (via this email address) when you plan your next program. I certainly want to be there.

All the best from Garland Richmond

I can't believe that generating paper "toolkits" is going to be very effective in reducing commuter traffic. I also can't believe a grant of $24,000 is funding it. I'd like to see some real numbers on how effective or ineffective the WWU Sustainable Transportation office has been since the Commute Trip Reducation law was passed by the state in 1991. I haven't noticed any reduction since I started in 2001.
