During break (June 14 to June 20), vehicles displaying a valid spring, academic or annual permit or a valid spring or academic Western Washington University Viking XPress bus pass may be parked in the following lots: 5G, 7G, 11G, 12A/C, 14G, 17G, 19G, 22G, 24G, 30G, 32G, 33G and all R lots, with the caveat that neither permits nor bus passes are valid in metered, reserved or disability spaces.
Western Washington University is proposing amendments to its Washington Administrative Code rules related to parking and traffic and will hold a public hearing on May 26, 2010, at 11 a.m. Proposed rule amendments to Chapter 516-12 WAC, Parking and Traffic Regulations, have been filed with the Code Reviser’s Office and published in the Washington State Register.
Western Washington University is proposing amendments to its Washington Administrative Code rules related to parking and traffic and will hold a public hearing at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, in Old Main Room 340 on the WWU campus.
Applications for parking permits for Western Washington University faculty and staff members will be taken online beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, April 26. These applications are for permits for the 2010-2011 academic year. Applications will be available online Monday at http://www.ps.wwu.edu/.

During spring break, which this year goes from March 22 to 28, vehicles displaying a valid winter, academic or annual permit or a valid winter or academic WWU bus pass may be parked in the following lots: 5G, 7G, 11G, 12A/C, 14G, 17G, 19G, 22G, 24G, 30G, 32G, 33G and all R lots. However, permits and bus passes are not valid in metered, reserved or disability spaces.
During winter break (Dec. 14 to 31), vehicles displaying a valid fall, academic year or annual permit or a valid fall or academic year WWU bus pass may be parked in the following lots: 5G, 7G, 12A/C, 14G, 17G, 19G, 22G, 24G, 30G, 32G, 33G and all R lots. However, permits and bus passes are not valid in metered, reserved or disability spaces.
Eleven pay stations are now in operation throughout campus. One operates all hours, eight operate at night (from 4:30 p.m. to 7 a.m.) during the week and all day on weekends, and two operate during the day Monday through Friday.
The new machines are replacing the older, eight-year-old models that no longer met industry standards and had parts that were discontinued. The new machines take coins, dollar bills and credit cards.
The following parking lots will be reserved for commencement beginning at 7 a.m. Aug. 22: 8G for president's platform party; 10G for elderly, disabled and media; 14G for staff and faculty.
