Joseph E. Trimble (Psychology, WCE) recently was selected to serve as a distinguished editorial panelist for behavioral and social science research with the Center for Scientific Review at the National Institutes of Health. Trimble has served on National Institutes of Health scientific research panels for the past 32 years, representing some 14 different centers and offices in NIH.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Washington announced the appointment of Bob O’Brien, Cyndie Shepard, Janet Lippert, Chris Farkas and Jacob Petz to its board of directors. O’Brien is production manager at the Shell oil refinery. His previous volunteer experience includes coaching baseball and basketball, and serving in his church as a small group Bible leader and deacon. Shepard is an educator at Western Washington University; she is also married to the university’s president.

Kristi Lewis Tyran (Management) has been elected to the board of the Organizational Behavior Teaching Society through 2012.

At the Organizational Behavior Teaching Conference, held from June 10 to 13, Tyran presented “What new and experienced faculty can teach each other” with Tracey Honeycutt Sigler (Northern Kentucky University).

Joseph Trimble (Psychology, Assessment, WCE) recently was selected to be a distinguished member of the External Scientific Advisory Committee for the National Collaborating Research Centers to Reduce Oral Health Disparities by the National Institute of Health's National Institute of Dental and Cranofacial Research. His appointment is for four successive years with the possibility of  a renewal.
