The Karen W. Morse Institute for Leadership at Western Washington University has planned a Scholarship of Leadership Faculty Development Workshop for three days in early September, 2010.

The leadership workshop will be a multi-day seminar designed to give interested faculty members the conceptual tools needed to integrate leadership research and theory into their research and creative activities, teaching and in developing their own interests in professional leadership service.

Joseph Garcia, the Bowman Distinguished Professor of Leadership Studies and director of the Karen W. Morse Institute for Leadership at Western Washington University, shot these images of a rainbow north of Bellingham from the Viking Union and Performing Arts Center Plaza this morning, Nov. 23.

Joseph Garcia (Leadership Institute) attended the SACNAS national conference from Oct. 15 to 18 in Dallas. At the conference he gave a presentation as part of the Conference Leadership Institute titled “Leadership Style: Self Evaluation and Assessment.” He also conducted a workshop on decision-making and governance for the SACNAS Board of Directors at their board meeting prior to the conference.

Western Washington University Professor Joseph E. Garcia plans to present a free webinar from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30. The professional development webinar will be presented by the OBTS Teaching Society for Management Educators.
