Local analysts expect a long economic recovery | The Bellingham Herald
The economic recovery is under way, but it's expected to take a long time and make things a bit bumpy in 2010.
That appeared to be the assessment of the economists at the 20th annual U.S. Bank Economic Outlook Forum, held Tuesday, Dec. 8, at the Bellingham Golf & Country Club. A panel of experts gave presentations about the local, state, national and Canadian economies, looking at what happened in 2009 and what's ahead.
Perhaps the past year was best summed up by the program moderator, Western Washington University's Dennis Murphy, when he jokingly said there was an unprecedented use of the word "unprecedented."
