One of Whatcom County's own will be coming home to join the Western Washington University Athletics Hall of Fame. Former Nooksack Valley High School four-sport letter winner Jim Sterk, who is now the athletic director at Washington State University, is one of four former Vikings greats that will be inducted into the Hall on Feb. 6. Joining Sterk in the Class of 2010 are former WWU three-sport athlete Jerry Joyce, former Western men's basketball guard Dwayne Kirkley and former Vikings women's basketball center Gina Sampson.
