Report: Lake Whatcom algae levels hold steady
The Bellingham Herald
"Algae growth in Lake Whatcom isn't necessarily getting worse, but it isn't necessarily getting better, says a scientist who monitors the lake annually. 'It's really important to not say the lake is getting better. Because it's not getting better, it's the same. But that's good news,' said Robin Matthews, a Western Washington University scientist and director of the Institute for Watershed Studies at Huxley College of the Environment."
