Tingstad and Rumbel Acoustic Duo at Ovations Concert January 23rd

Contemporary acoustic instrumentalists Eric Tingstad and Nancy Rumbel are celebrating 25 years together combining American finger-style guitar with melodic woodwinds. The duo, who hail from the Pacific Northwest, first appeared for the Arts Council’s Ovations in 2005 and were wildly applauded for their performance and warm personalities. Likened to a pair of Olympic figure skaters, Tingstad and Rumbel are artistically precise and musically expressive. The result is a sound that is unusual and unexpected and earned them a Grammy in 2003 in the New Age Album category. Tingstad & Rumbel are not married; but they are friends who have forged a successful musical partnership. In 25 years of concert touring they have endeared themselves to audiences around the world who find their elegant compositions soothing and uplifting.
