Daffodil Festival queen, a native of the Ivory Coast, makes history

Sarah Karamoko is the 2012 Daffodil Festival queen, and she will preside on Saturday as the Grand Floral Parades take their familiar routes through Tacoma, Puyallup, Sumner and Orting.

Why this is relevant:

Karamoko now is a top student at Foss, participating in numerous clubs and activities. She plans to attend Western Washington University after graduation and study neurobiology. She wants to become a doctor.
