Is UW Still Affordable?

Things will be different next year for UW senior Vincent Kwan. When the lease on his U-District apartment ends in August, Kwan will pack up and move back in with his parents on Beacon Hill. Each weekday, he’ll bus 30 minutes to and from class. He said he’d like to live closer to campus, but just can’t afford it. “It just sucks thinking about money,” Kwan said. “I’m kind of discouraged thinking about my future and education right now.”
