The Canadian-American Studies program at Western Washington University was honored by the Bellingham City Council on Monday, June 6, at the council's regular meeting.
Councilman Seth Fleetwood read from a resolution honoring the program, which this year celebrates its 40th birthday.
"The Bellingham community, the state of Washington and the nation as a whole benefit from the outstanding international civic leadership and research and teaching in Canadian-American Studies produced by the center," the resolution reads, among other things.
