Whatcom Middle School has been announced as the winner of the national School Pride Web Competition Contest sponsored by NBS and Microsoft.

Just over one year ago, Bellingham's Whatcom Middle School burned in a devastating fire that destroyed the building. Now, as the oldest existing school building in the Bellingham School District rises from the ashes, Whatcom will get a complete computer lab makeover consisting of 25 new computers and $2,250 for the school.

Whatcom Middle School is expected to re-open in fall 2012. For more information, visit the Bellingham Public Schools website.
