Morris planning IDSA conference

Jason Morris, an associate professor of engineering technology at Western Washington University, is currently planning the next IDSA (Industrial Designers Society of America) Western Design Conference to be held in Long Beach, Calif., this April. The theme is "Designer as Entrepreneur," and Morris is gathering the greatest designer/entrepreneurs in the region to discuss opportunity and challenges of starting companies and developing products.

This is Morris' third conference (and last) being the chair. The first was "Social Impact" in 2011 in San Jose, Calif. Last year was "Now for Something Completely Different" in Seattle. Each conference has had roughly 200 attendees from around the Western United States and Canada.
