Karen Hoelscher and Carmen Werder, two Western Washington University faculty members, are authors of a new column on Inside Higher Ed that will be published monthly through January.

Werder, director of WWU's Teaching-Learning Academy and Writing Instruction Support, and Hoelscher, a professor of elementary education, had their first column published Sept. 10. The column, titled "Writing for Academe: A Series on Dialogue, Mentoring, and Motivation," features strategies and tools the two professors are using with the WWU Faculty Writing Series and Residency.
