WWU Summer Youth Programs Again Offers Odyssey of Science and Arts

BELLINGHAM – Western Washington University’s Odyssey of Science & Arts, a unique academic experience in a university setting, returns this summer for students entering grades 4-9 on July 9.
Odyssey of Science & Arts gives youth the opportunity to explore popular topics using Western’s state-of-the-art labs and classrooms. Courses are taught by Western faculty and are available as weeklong half-day or full-day formats. Students will participate in a wide range of exciting, interactive hands-on activities that foster a success-filled and fun learning environment.
There are over 20 course topics to choose from, including these new offerings:
Elementary school, entering grades 4-6
- Entrepreneurship – Who Wants to be a Millionaire?
- Theatre – On with the Show!
Middle school, entering grades 7-9
- Entrepreneurship – Who Wants to be a Millionaire?
- Forensics – CSI: Bellingham
- Theatre – New Playwright’s Theatre
Returning favorites such as creative art, filmmaking, guitar, engineering, architecture, and veterinary science have limited availability.
Odyssey of Science & Arts provides an opportunity for students to discover new knowledge, while enjoying the fun learning environment and camaraderie that comes from engaging with like-minded students.
