Western Washington University’s Everett-based weekend Master of Business Administration program is accepting applications now for the next cohort of students who will begin classes in January 2011.

Program details will be provided at an information session at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 4, at University Center of North Puget Sound, Gray Wolf Hall-Room 160, 2000 Tower St., on the campus of Everett Community College.

WWU's program finished 72nd out of approximately 600 business schools invited to participate in the survey, which goes beyond mainstream academic content and ranks the programs on the institution's efforts to integrate social, ethical and environmental concerns as well.

Each fall quarter, Bill Warner (Woodring College of Education) teaches an MBA course in Beijing, China. On Nov. 21, Warner travels to Beijing to teach “Managing Risk: Business and Project” at Beijing University of Technology. This is a dual-modality course of face-to-face seminars and online participation in Blackboard. Warner has also taught MBA courses at universities in Shanghai and Guangzhou, China.

Western Washington University plans to bring a weekend master’s degree in business administration to Everett next year. Classes would begin in January at Everett Community College’s University Center. The program was approved by the state’s Higher Education Coordinating Board in June. Classes will be alternating Fridays and Saturdays and take 24 months to finish.
