Wanna VanCuren to serve as interim director for Business Services

Wanna VanCuren, director of Financial Systems at Western Washington University, also will serve as interim director for Business Services, announced Brian Sullivan, assistant vice president for Business and Financial Affairs at Western.

Since joining Western in 2009, VanCuren has headed the Banner Initiatives project and implemented various system and business processes.

The morning begins with a complimentary breakfast from 8 to 9 a.m. in the Viking Union, and is followed by convocation and the presentation of faculty and staff awards from 9:10 to 10:15 a.m. on the PAC Mainstage.

The 2013 opening convocation and breakfast for Western Washington University faculty and staff is set for Wednesday, Sept. 18.

Breafast is complimentary, and reservations are requested by Sept. 16. Register online.

Breakfast is served from 8 to 9 a.m. in the Viking Commons, followed by opening convocation and the presentation of faculty and staff awards from 9:10 to 10:15 a.m. on the PAC Mainstage.


Print and Copy Services to merge with Copier Support/Coursepack Office

As a result of an operational and administrative efficiency evaluation, Print and Copy Services and the Copier Support/Coursepack Office will be combined effective July 1.

Making that announcement was Steve Swan, vice president for University Relations; Frank Roberts, director for Academic Technology and User Services; and Brian Sullivan, assistant vice president for Business and Financial Affairs.


Change coming for Accounts Payable Department

Brian Sullivan, assistant vice president for Business and Financial Affairs, has announced reportage changes for the Accounts Payable Department.

After an efficiency evaluation, effective May 16, the Accounts Payable Department will report to Financial Services, supervised by Michael Ulrich, accounting manager. Travel Services will continue to report to Business Services.


Stanford's Sullivan named assistant VP at Western

Brian J. Sullivan has been hired to serve as the assistant vice president for Business and Financial Affairs at Western Washington University.

Sullivan formerly was at Stanford University, where he served as director of Finance Operations, budget officer for Land, Building and Real Estate, senior associate director for Finance at the Department of Medicine, and business manager for Medicine.
